Welcome

Welcome to the online public consultation of our plans for the future of Crown Farm Quarry.

Crown Farm Quarry is a long established business, supplying sand for use in essential construction in the region. Our sand is used in asphalt, concrete, mortar and roof tiles, which go into housing, schools, hospitals, commercial developments such as Liverpool One and Media City and for road Improvements such as on the M56.

We are proud of our operations at Crown Farm and have created large areas of conservation land in previously worked out areas of the quarry; working in partnership with the Cheshire Wildlife Trust to manage the nature reserve and run educational visits.

More recently we have introduced a dredger to the site, which means we can now work the quarry in an environmentally friendly manner, reducing our carbon footprint.

Because of the demand for our product, our existing permission for Crown Farm Quarry, which lasts until 2042, would see our operations completed by 2031. This exhibition will explain how we are looking to extend the quarry in order to continue quarrying operations until 2042 from within the existing site.

We would like to invite you to view our website and would welcome your feedback. Your feedback will help to inform our proposals. This can be submitted using the feedback form available.
